Whether you are a seasoned fly angler or just picking it up, Fly Casting is just like any other skillset. It takes practice to learn and to get better. Fly fishing is a life long pursuit and there are many different methods of fly casting, but during a casting lesson with Capt. Bo you will learn the methods best suited for saltwater fly fishing from a skiff as well as a simulated preview of how it feels to be on the bow during a guided trip. Even Experienced Fly anglers can benefit from having another set of eyes watch for areas to improve.
Your Casting Lesson will include learning:
Casting Fundamentals
Different casting methods and when to use each one
How a guide will relay information to you as the angler and how to understand what it all means
Target practice at different distances
How to set the hook when a fish takes the fly
What to bring to your casting lesson:
Fly rod/reel of your choice if you have one
Eye protection (ie. glasses or sunglasses)
Water Bottle
A Positive attitude ready to learn and practice!
What will be provided for you:

Line Management mat
